While the word \u2018Mela\u2019 reminds us of a song from Amir Khan\u2019s movie \u2018Mela Dilon ka aata hai\u2026Ek baar aake chala jata hai\u2019!! Our \u2018Kadwai\u2019 Dilon ka Mela\u2019 was a bit different in terms of emotions.<\/p>\n

It was celebrated for about two days, but the memories remained in our hearts ever since then.<\/p>\n

The nearby villagers also attended and enjoyed the Mela \u2013 It was indeed Dilon Ka Mela where Kadwaikars\u2019 hearts met their own people, came to their ownlands, created never-ending memories once again!<\/p>\n

Kadwai Dilon Ka Mela<\/h2>\n

The concept of Mela came up with the intention of going back to our roots and meeting our near and dear ones with some games, activities, and food around us. The first Mela was celebrated in October 2016 and the second one was in December 2017.<\/p>\n

The first Mela was majorly attended by Kadwaikars with some outsiders who appreciated the concept and liked the overall arrangements. The MUHSK campus was used for both Melas. While the first Mela gave us good experience to improvise upon, the second Mela was a bigger success in terms of overall management and activities.<\/p>\n

Dil Milte Hain to Zindagi Khilti Hain<\/h2>\n

With Kokni food in stalls, games for all generations, plan of BE activities shared with Kadwaikars, special invitees\u2019 thoughts, kids stage performances, musical program by our own talented singers, it was a mix of events and everyone enjoyed every bit of it.<\/p>\n

Some school friends met each other after several years. The chit chat about memories of school, those old benches, the teachers, the mischievous activities \u2013 they shared so much. We remember many toppers watching their name on the SSC topper\u2019s board and mesmerizing old memories.<\/p>\n

While the young ones showed their energy in pulling the rope for TUG OF WAR; the oldies were never behind and showed equal enthusiasm and energy.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Mhavrya chi watal (fish curry)\u2019, \u2018Talleli Kaar (dried prawns), \u2018Tandlachi Roti (rice flour roti)\u2019, \u2018Mutton wade\u2019 never felt so tasty even at home. The food stalls were kept thinking in mind of Kadwaikar\u2019s love for their own Kokni food. There was no Chicken Crispy or Chicken Tikka; still everyone ate their stomach filled and still played musical chair at night.<\/p>\n

The Mini Marathon \u2013 In Honor of the Girl Child<\/h2>\n

Many were not fond of morning walks, but that marathon run was so mesmerizing and fun to attend.
