Structural Fireproofing
Fireproofing for structures was successfully carried for manufacturing plant of client M&G RESINS USA, LLC for Polymer manufacturing using Terephthalic Acid and Ethylene Glycol as basic raw material.
TPA and Ethylene glycol was esterified in one single esterifier designed for 3000 metric tons per day (TPD) and further processed in two parallel CP units each of them with 1500 TPD throughput. The detail scope of work is as follows:
- Hazardous locations per the Class/Division system are classified according to the Class, Division and Group.
- For the purpose of determining the proper methods and extent of fireproofing required the various areas containing equipment and piping requiring supports involving exposed steel shall be classified either (a) Hazardous, (b) Non-Hazardous, or (c) Intermediate.
- The Design of Fire Proofing is done in accordance with the latest edition of :
- ASTM E119
- UL 1709
- API 2218
Clinton County Bio Energy (CCBE)
A brownfield biodiesel plant located in Iowa State of US having capacity of 15MMGPY includes Flash Stills, Guard Beds and Distillation Column. GDL India was the engineering contractor for our US Customer for Basic and Detail engineering. The scope of services as below:
- Basic Engineering and Complete Detail Engineering of Process Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation and Civil & Structure including Project Management.
- Simulation Profiles on ChemCAD of Guard Bed BD19, Esterification Bed BD20 and Flash Stills.
- PFD and P&IDs Development, Line Sizing, Equipment Sizing, Heat Exchanger Sizing, Pump hydraulics and Control philosophy.

George West Terminal
Crude Oil Storage Terminal Project for the end customer Trafigura Terminal consist of one crude oil storage tank of capacity 100,000 barrels. The scope includes basic process design, piping, 3D model electrical & instrumentation and other associated engineering deliverable preparation. The detail scope as below:
- Basic Engineering and Complete Detail Engineering of Crude Oil Storage Tank Farm of Process, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical & Instrumentation.
- P&ID Development and Tank Design (Tank Data Sheet) as per API 650 and OSHA Standards.

McMullen Terminal

Crude Unit Diesel Recovery QA/QC
The review of engineering documents with respect to design basis and specifications provided by customer CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery, Texas.

- Checking of P&IDs with respect to Basis of Design Report, Detail Line List and Instrumentation List.

Disulphide Separator Replacement
An EPC Project taken by our parent company Govind Development,LLC. It was Revamp Project of a refinery to replace the Disulphide Separator and its associated equipment and electrical & instrumentation

EF90 Waste Water Treatment Plant
EF90, LLC (EF90) is building a new tight crude refining facility adjacent to its Corpus Christi, Texas terminal operations. The initial phase will consist of two process trains, with expandability for a third process train in the future. Wastewater generated in them desalters, along with oily stormwater from equipment platforms, will require collection and treatment prior to discharge. The final effluent location and permit requirements have not been fully established, but preliminary design conditions have been established based on initial information provided by EF90/Ventech (prime design consultant and contractor for the refinery units) and from similar discharge permits for surrounding industries. Waste Water treatment plant of 100GPM capacity at Corpus Christi, Texas Terminal Operations. Wastewater generated in the desalter, along with oily storm water from equipment platforms. The detail scope as below:
- QA-QC of Basic and Detail Engineering Documents and Drawings including the Basis of Design Report.
- Checking of P&IDs with respect to Basis of Design Report, Process Line List, Process Valve List and Instrumentation List.
- Line Hydraulics and Pump Hydraulics Calculations checking.
- Equipment data sheet checking as per Design Basis.
- Piping Layout checking with respect to Hydraulic Calculations.
- Instrument Data Sheet checking with respect to P&ID.
Out Side Battery Limit P&ID Drafting
Review and drafting of Intelligent P&IDs (19 Nos.) of Out Side Battery Limits (OSBL) on CadWorx 2013.
HAZOP Study of Terapthalic Acid Plant
Process Hazard Review (PHR) is a 'high level' safety and hazards review of the 1,200,000 MTPA Terephathalic Acid Plant. The plant which provides for the lowest possible investment cost for such plant size, the lowest operating cost, and a product quality that meets the requirements of PTA for textile PET production.
Following are the Activities performed as per process Hazard Review (PHR):
- Prepared Equipment wise HAZOP points of the process
- Identified HAZID points in HAZOP Reports for the process
- Reviewed all process P&IDs & identified Hazards in process
- Review of interlocks w.r.t. the HAZOP point's reference to P&ID
- Suggested interlocks in the P&IDs as per process demands
- Highlighted Interlocks mis-matching with P&ID & list received
- Suggested Fire water safety to be included in the HAZOP
Sour Water Tank Project
The sour water system at Seadrift Coke L.P. contains appreciable amounts of hydrocarbon as a result of Coker blow down operations. The hydrocarbon associated with the sour water contains insoluble organic components that precipitate upon cooling and foul pumps, valves and other process equipment.
GDL India performed Basic Engg. Package of Sour Water Tank Project, Following are the activities performed by GDL India:
- Preparation of Process Design Basis
- Prepared P&ID of process plant having one pre-heater, three filters, two 3-phase separator, one sour water storage Tank
- Designed 3-Phase Separator with 10 minutes residence time
- Designing of the pre-heater by using HTRI
