HAZOP Study of Terephthalic Acid Plant
Process Hazard Review (PHR) is a 'high level' safety and hazards review of the 1,200,000 MTPA Terephthalic Acid Plant. The plant which provides for the lowest possible investment cost for such plant size, the lowest operating cost, and a product quality that meets the requirements of PTA for textile PET production.
Following are the Activities performed as per process Hazard Review (PHR) :
- Prepared Equipment wise HAZOP points of the process.
- Identified HAZID points in HAZOP Reports for the process.
- Reviewed all process P&IDs & identified Hazards in process.
- Review of interlocks w.r.t. the HAZOP point's reference to P&ID.
- Suggested interlocks in the P&IDs as per process demands.
- Highlighted Interlocks mis-matching with P&ID & list received.
- Suggested Fire water safety to be included in the HAZOP.
